Slot canyons present some of the most striking and challenging subjects to a photographer. This canyon requires several miles of desert hiking and route finding to locate. Once there, one has to squeeze through tall narrow walls that are mere inches apart at some points, while wading in waist-deep ice cold water. Working in the slot is not easy - setting up the camera and tripod in this claustrophobic environent is but one issue. Calculating exposure is very tricky as well due to the wide range of tones and contrast. As I'm sure you'll agree - it was well worth the effort.
